Joy Polefrone, PhD
Joy brings a rich and diverse background shaped by experiences across academic research, nonprofit leadership, health tech innovation, and regional ecosystem building. Her journey has included launching and leading a mission-driven nonprofit, growing a new venture inside a major health tech company, guiding people strategy for one of its largest business units, and most recently, helping to shape a regional ecosystem focused on advancing both economic growth and economic mobility in an emergent, rapid-growth industry.
Joy approaches her work with curiosity, care, and a deep belief in aligning systems with values. She supports leaders, teams, and organizations in navigating complexity through strategies that are thoughtful, inclusive, and sustainably designed.
Nicholas W. Read, M.A.
Nicholas (“Nick”) brings a thoughtful and grounded approach to his work, shaped by more than two decades of experience in research, evaluation, capacity building, and community-centered initiatives. His work has focused on advancing meaningful social change—addressing systemic inequities, strengthening organizational and community capacity, and supporting efforts that improve well-being at both individual and systems levels.
His journey has included leading and advising across complex social impact efforts, with a particular emphasis on uncovering root causes and translating insight into practical, human-centered strategies. Nick is known for asking critical questions, facilitating deep collaboration, and helping government agencies and organizations move from analysis to action in ways that are both data-informed and person-centered. He approaches his work with a balance of analytical rigor and relational awareness, supporting leaders and teams in navigating complexity with clarity, purpose, and sustained momentum.
